The drained pool

Attempts to inhabit nothingness

Even emptiness, to be understood as such, must be contained by something.

This video is an exercise in emptying, which seeks to question our current understanding of space and time. It's an invitation to reflect on a specific space at a given moment.

This 50-minute piece is a suggestive glimpse that appeals to an illusory memory. The emptied swimming pool reflects a psychophysical imposition, a symbolic action that speaks of another action elsewhere, evidencing swimming in nothingness and rubbing the (in)finite point of things with the body. This poetic action at a certain point becomes a challenge, a wandering without origin or destination, a being without belonging.
