NHCHM is a device with 5 screens arranged in supports where the universe of images with which we coexist is explored. JPGs, MP4s, animated gifs, txt, spam, memes. Formats that question us, modify us and make our subjectivity interactive, they have even been organically incorporated into our mind and memory.
What images are shown to us, why are they made, and what effect do they have on the way we think and how we see the world? Imagination, cyberspace, meta-space and memories are continuously formed and deformed, merging into that new thing that is still indecipherable to us, that calls Humanism into question.
To quote the Laboria Cuboniks collective in their Xenofeminist manifesto: “We are all alienated”, but have we ever been otherwise”. The interpellation of nature leaves a trail that symbiotises technology and the human.
NHCHM es un dispositivo con 5 pantallas dispuestas en soportes donde se explora el universo de imágenes con el que convivimos. JPGs, MP4s, gifs animados, txt, spam, memes. Formatos que nos interpelan, nos modifican y hacen interactiva nuestra subjetividad, incluso se han incorporado orgánicamente a nuestra mente y memoria.
¿Qué imágenes se nos muestran, por qué se hacen y qué efecto tienen en nuestra forma de pensar y de ver el mundo? La imaginación, el ciberespacio, el metaespacio y los recuerdos se forman y deforman continuamente, fusionándose en esa cosa nueva que aún nos resulta indescifrable, que pone en cuestión el Humanismo.
Citando al colectivo Laboria Cuboniks en su manifiesto Xenofeminista: "Todos somos alienados", pero ¿hemos sido alguna vez de otra manera? La interpelación de la naturaleza deja un rastro que simbiotiza la tecnología y lo humano.
